Justin Pope is Vice President and Chief of Staff at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. From 2004-2013 he was the national higher education reporter for The Associated Press, where his work won awards from groups including EWA, the AP Managing Editors Association, the Headliners Club and the United Nations.
During the 2010-2011 academic year, he was a Knight-Wallace Journalism Fellow at the University of Michigan. He has frequently served as a judge for EWA’s annual contest, and has written about education for publications including Atlantic.com, The Washington Post, The Chronicle of Higher Education and MIT Technology Review.
